چکیده

Background: The contracted socket is caused by fibrosis leading to the shortening of orbital tissue. Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) a profibrotic in postoperative wound healing. novel option prevent use fibrin glue. This study aims evaluate role glue reducing VEGF expression cells that cause post-socket surgery scar. Methods: An vivo experimental using an animal model was conducted. We used twenty eyes white rabbit species as sample. evisceration carried out and distributed animals four groups consisting control group, MMC group (0.1 ml mitomycin-C (MMC) 0.4 mg/ml), triamcinolone acetonide (TCA) TCA 40 (0,1 glue). treatment performed through injection subconjunctival. After 14 days, rabbits were euthanized, conjunctiva samples cut. Immunoreactivity scores (IRS) analyze epithelia with significant level p <0.05. Data analyzed SPSS version 26 for Windows. Results: All showed statistically difference p-value 0,000 (p<0,05). significantly lower three compared group. highest followed glue, found differences between groups; (p=0.001), (p=0.002), (p=0.005). While could not be proven statistically. Conclusion: Fibrin reduce marker fibrosis; thus, can alternative anti-fibrotic agent.

Fibrin Glue Used as an Adhesive Agent in CNS Tissues

One of the limitations of many bridging experiments in neural transplantation is that the CNS tissues cannot be sutured. Fibrin glue is a two-component system derived from whole blood which, when mixed, reproduces the final stage of blood coagulation and solidifies. Many experimental studies of humans and animals show that fibrin glue repair of peripheral nerves is almost equivalent to microsur...
